The HighVibe School of Integrative Massage & Bodywork (HSIMB) is a 650-hour, boutique-style pre-licensure massage training program designed to prepare aspiring therapists for licensure in the state of Kentucky.

Our program emphasizes a well-rounded, highly experiential learning environment, equipping students with the skills and knowledge to thrive as health and wellness professionals. Key elements of our curriculum include:

  • A deeply conscious, trauma-sensitive approach to holistic care.

  • An in-depth study of both Western and Eastern bodywork techniques.

  • A strong focus on practitioner self-care and strategies for building a sustainable healing arts career that prioritizes the safety and longevity of the therapist's body.

Total Tuition: $4,925

Tuition Payable to Program: $4,600

Tuition Payable to A&P Partner: $325

TUITION PAYMENT OPTIONS

(1) Pay $4,400 by March 11th ($200 savings)

(2) Pay $2,300 by March 11th & $2,300 by April 11th.

 

(3) Pay $1,000 by March 11th & $380 per month for 10 months (April 1st 2025 to to January 1st 2026)

Massage 1: Foundations of Massage, Theory & Practice

May 5, 2025 - August 19

Meets: Mon & Tues at 8am - 12pm

Hours: 150 

Tuition: $1,525​​​

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in the history, modern-day function, code of ethics, and standards of practice of massage therapy within Western culture. Through this curriculum, students will gain essential skills and knowledge to excel as professional massage therapists.

Key learning outcomes include the ability to:

  • Create a safe, welcoming space and effectively communicate with clients.

  • Administer best practices during client intake and other professional protocols.

  • Apply a variety of contemporary Western massage techniques, including:

    1. Swedish Massage

    2. Deep Tissue Massage

    3. Myofascial Massage

    4. Joint Movement

    5. Passive Stretching

    6. Chair Massage

  • Operate with a thorough understanding of muscular and skeletal anatomy, as well as kinesiology.

  • Use safe and effective biomechanics to deliver therapeutic care while ensuring practitioner comfort.

Ethics Component
The Ethics module explores the dynamic therapist-client relationship, emphasizing the importance of distinguishing between personal and professional boundaries in massage and bodywork. Students will:

  • Understand and adhere to a professional code of ethics within the healing arts.

  • Learn the requirements and procedures for licensure in the state of Kentucky.

  • Recognize the importance of research and continuing education to access appropriate resources for professional growth and lifelong learning.

This course prioritizes the development of both technical and interpersonal skills, fostering a well-rounded understanding of massage therapy and holistic care.

Massage 2: Advanced Massage Applications

September 1 - December 16

Meets: Mon & Tues at 8am - 12pm

Hours: 150

Pre-requisites: Massage 1​​

This course includes modules centered on assessing and addressing injuries and imbalances like carpal tunnel, sciatica, ankle sprains, neck, shoulder and low back pain; headaches, frozen shoulder, golfers elbow, structural imbalances, orthopedic techniques, and more.

  • create safe space for, and effectively communicate with clients

  • practice dynamic client intake protocols, postural assessment, SOAP notes, and care plan development 

  • apply a variety of contemporary western massage techniques—(1) Advanced Palpation, (2) Postural Assessment, (3) Neuromuscular Trigger-point Therapy; (4) Advanced Stretching Techniques; (5) Medical and Orthopedic Massage

  • maintain and working knowledge of indications and contraindications for massage and bodywork

  • construct meaningful treatment plans 

  • operate with a working knowledge of the anatomy of the muscles, bones, and kinesiology

  • use safe and beneficial biomechanics to ensure a comfortable delivery of therapeutic care​

Students choose from a selection of available modalities that may include:

​

Thai Metta Bodywork

This course presents the basic philosophy and techniques common to Thai Metta Bodywork. Concepts similar to energy modalities such acupressure and reflexology will be identified from the Thai perspective.

​

Reiki Energy Healing 

This module includes an an in-depth study of the ancient healing art of Reiki, how to harness the energy, honor its intentions, ethics, and applications to facilitate the body’s innate healing ability. The focus of this learning experience is on using Reiki as a tool for serving others.

 

Craniosacral Techniques

This course presents the basic philosophy and techniques common to CranioSacral Therapy, including a study of the nervous system.

​

Reflexology

This course provides an introduction to the theory and application of Reflexology, Meridian and Zone Therapy. Students will explore a historical overview of the origins of Reflexology and Zone Therapy and learn how to apply reflexology techniques to balance the body’s energy systems. The student will study basic anatomy in relation to health and the Reflexology model. 

 

Lymphatic Drainage Cupping Techniques

This course presents the basic philosophy and techniques common to Lymphatic Massage, including a study of the Immune/Lymphoid System. The student will practice Lymphatic and Neuro-Lymphatic techniques for the body, face and scalp.

 

Gua Sha & Therapeutic Cupping Therapy

This course presents the basic philosophy and techniques common to Therapeutic and Lymphatic Cupping Therapy. The student will learn and practice techniques that can be incorporated into a table top treatment.

Oncology Massage

This course presents the basic philosophy and specialized intake processes and therapeutic approaches common to treating clients who are undergoing cancer treatments. 

​

Pediatric Massage & Bodywork

This module introduces students to the principles and practice of performing massage therapy on children, ages of 2-18, and includes a study of the stages of childhood. It will also outline basic massage techniques for performing a general pediatric massage as well as pediatric massage for children with disabilities and common discomforts.

 

Prenatal Massage & Bodywork

This module includes a study of Prenatal Massage techniques, protocols for assessment, and treatment plans for the pregnant mother. Students also develop a deeper understanding of the female reproductive system, related hormones, and common concerns associated with pregnancy, and learn appropriate client positioning, draping, and the use of bolsters for the comfort and safety of the pregnant mother and fetus.

 

Sports Massage

This course presents the application of massage techniques designed to support athletic performance, recovery, and rehabilitation.

Holistic Communication

This module presents the fundamental dynamics involved in the communication process, how communication can influence an individual’s response, and how to practice delivering suggestions and develop consultation skills. Additionally, students will 

understand how the communication model affects the individual’s mental, emotional and physiological state in a care environment. 

 

Trauma-Sensitive Care

This module is focused on imparting the importance of adhering to a model of care that acknowledges the potential impact of a care recipient’s exposure to abuse, neglect, discrimination, violence, and other adverse experiences increases their lifelong potential for experiencing continued responses to their traumas. Students will learn how to deliver trauma-informed approaches to care, improve client engagement, and elevate the overall care experience and outcomes.

Career Development

This course is relevant to students who are interested in starting their own business, as well as those who are seeking to work for an established company. Students will learn how to: write and effectively utilize a business plan, establish a business entity, cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships/collaborations, establish a financial plan to support professional and personal goals, and honor time management boundaries. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to participate in Q&A sessions with successful small-business owners and wellness entrepreneurs.

Anatomy & Physiology (Online)

May - December (self-paced online course)

Hours: 100

Tuition: $325 (paid directly to Corexcel)

Study Pack: $25 (paid directly to HighVibe)

This is a self-paced online course that introduces students to the basic anatomy and physiology of the human body, from cells and tissues to systems and the whole organism. Students embark on a detailed study of the skeletal and muscular systems, explore physiology with an understanding of its relation to the health and wellness model. The study of the skeletomuscular system will present a detailed understanding of kinesiology. Additionally, students learn to identify and define common medical terminology and its relation to the professional practice of massage and bodywork. Note: Sections of this course may be presented in an online format. Transfer credit from a college-level course from an accredited program with comparable course content is permitted with approval.

Internship

Sept - April (flexible schedule)

Hours: 40

Pre-requisites: Massage 1

This internship includes 40 in-clinic client contact hours and a professional development project.
