1ST APPOINTMENT
Discovery Consultation
Dr. Tristan will begin by reviewing the intake forms you completed prior to your appointment. He will then conduct a thorough examination to assess any spinal imbalances, determine if x-rays are necessary, and gather all the information needed to create a personalized treatment plan. Please note that no chiropractic adjustments will be made during this appointment.
2nd APPOINTMENT
Report of Findings
During this appointment, Dr. Tristan will review the results from your New Patient Examination and any X-rays (if taken). He will then discuss the most effective strategies to support your care and present treatment plan options for you to consider. Once you've given your informed consent, he will proceed with your first adjustment to kickstart your treatment journey.
ADJUSTMENTS
Your first adjustment usually takes places immediately following your Report of Findings. Thereafter, you will receive a series of routine adjustments as prescribed, following the schedule outlined in your customized care plan. The goal is to address any active imbalances that may be causing pain or other forms of discomfort, then shift into maintenance care. Tristan may also recommend additional therapies to support and enhance your care--bodywork, supplementation, ...
RE-EXAMS
Once you’ve completed the series of dynamic adjustments prescribed by Dr. Tristan, he will conduct a re-examination to assess your progress and adjust your care plan if necessary. If your spinal imbalances have improved, you will transition to Wellness Care—a maintenance plan focused on overall health rather than addressing specific issues. If you began your care with a focus on maintenance, a re-examination may not be required.

Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine. Misalignments or dysfunctions in the spine (called "subluxations") can affect the nervous system and lead to various health issues. Hands-on techniques, such as spinal adjustments or manipulations, are used to restore proper alignment and function of the spine and other joints.
HOW CHIROPRACTIC HELPS Chiropractic care offers a range of benefits, particularly for those dealing with musculoskeletal issues, though some people also use it for overall wellness. Here are some of the key benefits: 1. Pain Relief Back Pain: Chiropractic adjustments are widely recognized for helping to alleviate chronic and acute back pain, particularly lower back pain. Neck Pain: Chiropractic can help relieve tension and pain in the neck, often caused by poor posture, stress, or injury. Joint Pain: Chiropractic care can also address pain in joints like the shoulders, knees, elbows, and hips. 2. Improved Posture Regular chiropractic adjustments can help correct spinal misalignments, which often contribute to poor posture. This can alleviate the discomfort and strain caused by slumping or hunching over a desk or screen for extended periods. 3. Enhanced Flexibility and Mobility Spinal manipulation helps restore movement and flexibility in the joints. This can be particularly beneficial for those who have stiffness from conditions like arthritis or sports injuries. 4. Reduced Headaches Chiropractic care can help reduce or even eliminate certain types of headaches, such as tension headaches and migraines. By addressing tension in the neck and spine, many patients experience fewer and less intense headaches. 5. Support for a Healthy Nervous System Since the spine houses the nervous system, keeping the spine aligned may improve nervous system function, potentially leading to better communication between the brain and body. This may contribute to enhanced overall health and energy levels. 6. Improved Sleep Chiropractic adjustments can help improve sleep by reducing pain and tension, allowing the body to relax more easily. Some people report better quality sleep after receiving chiropractic care. 7. Reduced Reliance on Medications Many patients turn to chiropractic care as an alternative to prescription pain relievers or over-the-counter medications, which may have side effects or long-term health risks. Chiropractic treatment focuses on natural healing and can be part of a holistic approach to pain management. 8. Sports Performance Enhancement Athletes often turn to chiropractic care for its ability to improve joint mobility, flexibility, and muscle function. Regular chiropractic adjustments can help prevent injuries, speed up recovery times, and enhance performance. 9. Improved Digestion Misalignments in the spine, especially in the upper and lower regions, can sometimes interfere with the nerves that control digestive organs. Chiropractic adjustments may help improve digestion by supporting better nerve function in these areas. 10. Better Immune Function Since the nervous system plays a role in immune function, some studies suggest that spinal health can have an impact on the immune system. Chiropractic care may help optimize immune system function by ensuring the spine is aligned and nerve pathways are open. 11. Stress Relief and Relaxation Chiropractic treatments can help reduce tension in the muscles and spine, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Patients often feel a sense of relief and calm after a session. 12. Post-Surgery Recovery Chiropractors may assist in the recovery process after surgery by improving mobility, reducing inflammation, and supporting the healing of musculoskeletal tissues.
WHO CHIROPRACTIC HELPS Chiropractic care can benefit a wide range of people, regardless of age or lifestyle. Here are some groups who may particularly benefit: 1. People with Chronic Pain Back Pain: Individuals suffering from chronic lower back pain can often find relief through chiropractic care. It's one of the most common reasons people seek chiropractic treatment. Neck Pain: Those dealing with chronic neck pain, often caused by poor posture or repetitive motion, may experience significant improvement with chiropractic adjustments. 2. Athletes Chiropractors are frequently sought by athletes for injury prevention, recovery, and performance enhancement. Adjustments can help with joint mobility, flexibility, muscle function, and recovery from sports-related injuries. Chiropractic care may also reduce the risk of re-injury by addressing muscle imbalances and ensuring proper body alignment. 3. Office Workers and People with Desk Jobs Sitting for long periods, especially in poor posture, can lead to neck, back, and shoulder pain. Chiropractic care can help alleviate tension, correct posture, and restore spinal alignment, improving overall comfort and mobility. 4. Pregnant Women Pregnancy can put additional strain on the body, particularly on the spine and pelvis. Chiropractors can help ease pregnancy-related discomfort, including back pain, pelvic pain, and tension. Special techniques are used to ensure safety and comfort for both mother and baby. 5. People with Headaches or Migraines Those who suffer from tension headaches or migraines can benefit from chiropractic care. Spinal adjustments, especially in the neck, may reduce the frequency and intensity of headaches by relieving muscle tension and improving spinal alignment. 6. Elderly Individuals As people age, the body undergoes natural wear and tear, and musculoskeletal issues like arthritis, joint stiffness, and decreased mobility can become more common. Chiropractic adjustments can improve joint mobility, reduce pain, and help maintain an active lifestyle. 7. People with Postural Problems Poor posture, often caused by long hours of sitting or improper ergonomics, can lead to muscle strain, spinal misalignment, and discomfort. Chiropractic care can help improve posture and alleviate associated discomfort. 8. People with Stress and Tension Chiropractic care helps release muscle tension, promote relaxation, and reduce stress. Those who experience high levels of physical tension or stress, particularly in the shoulders and neck, can benefit from chiropractic adjustments. 9. People with Digestive Issues Some people find relief from digestive problems such as acid reflux, bloating, and constipation through chiropractic care. This is because spinal adjustments can improve the function of the nervous system, which controls many digestive processes. 10. Post-Surgical Recovery Chiropractic care can support recovery after surgery by helping to improve joint function, reduce inflammation, and alleviate pain. However, it’s important to consult with a doctor before seeking chiropractic care following surgery. 11. Children Children can benefit from chiropractic care for certain conditions like colic, ear infections, growing pains, or postural issues. Chiropractic adjustments are gentle and safe for children, and some parents use it as a preventative approach to supporting their child’s musculoskeletal health. 12. People Looking for Drug-Free Pain Management For those who want to avoid medications or are seeking a natural approach to pain relief, chiropractic care offers an alternative. It focuses on addressing the root causes of musculoskeletal pain without the need for drugs or surgery. 13. People with Arthritis Chiropractic adjustments can help reduce the pain and stiffness associated with osteoarthritis, particularly in the spine and large joints like the hips and knees. By improving mobility and reducing inflammation, chiropractic care can be a helpful part of arthritis management. 14. People Who Want to Improve Overall Wellness Even without specific pain or injury, some individuals seek chiropractic care as part of a wellness plan. Chiropractic care can help with overall body alignment, nervous system function, and energy levels, promoting general health and vitality. 15. Those with Autoimmune Conditions While chiropractic care isn’t a cure for autoimmune diseases, some individuals with conditions like fibromyalgia or multiple sclerosis find relief through chiropractic treatments. Adjustments can help improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and enhance overall well-being. Ultimately, chiropractic care can be a great option for people who want to optimize their health and well-being or are looking for a natural way to address musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction.
