What is Chiropractic?
Neurofeedback is the direct training and observing of the brain in live time while ‘retraining’ the brain. LENS Neurofeedback is considered non-traditional neurofeedback. It is also called EEG Biofeedback, because its basis is in electrical brain activity, electroencephalogram, known as EEG. Its purpose is to self-regulate which is a necessary part of optimal brain function and performance. The training targets specific areas of the brain to help create new neurons and neural pathways thus allowing the nervous system to function better.
What to Expect When Receiving
Chiropractic Care
LENS Neurofeedback Therapy has been approved by the FDA. It is a non-invasive therapy and can barely be felt. The strength of the electrical current is less than that of a wristwatch. LENS is a proven therapy for symptoms caused by the Central Nervous System, but similarly to training coordination, clients may need a series of sessions for the “brain training” to maintain a lasting impact. We recommend clients to participate in a minimum of 10 sessions.
Why Choose Chiropractic?
The passive nature of LENS Neurotherapy is what sets it apart. Unlike all other slower traditional neurofeedback therapies, LENS does not train. Brainwaves only focus on a few places and demand that the patients take part in the process of learning to control their brain waves using visual and audio monitoring. Traditional neurofeedback requires visits several times every week for 40-60 sessions. Patients using LENS therapy typically complete their sessions in 10-20 visits on average. This is largely dependent on each individual’s history and conditions being treated.
With LENS, our goal is to bring the client through the fewest number of treatments with the best results as rapidly as possible.
Compared to other therapies, the LENS system is:
● Long lasting
● Fast results
● No pain
● Non-invasive
● Involves no drugs
● Is suitable for toddlers to seniors
● Each treatment lasts less than 15 minutes
What Will I Feel During a Session?
Some patients may experience stimulation, fatigue, or even mild spaciness. These effects, however, are transient and could last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. They show that the patient is receptive to the signal and that the therapy is working. In general, both during and after a session, patients’ report feeling peaceful, relaxed, and focused.
How Much Does LENS Treatment Cost?
Not only is LENS Neurofeedback Therapy incredibly effective, but it is also quite affordable. The primary advantage of LENS is how quickly it can start helping.
LENS Neurofeedback Therapy pricing is based upon the number of sessions given. Not only do we have bundle pricing, but it can be shared within the family unit. We find that a family that gets well together becomes the best practice for all.
